Installation and Licensing Service for Rev. Canon Simon Bessant.
Lead by The Bishop of Stockport, Bishop Sam & Revds Lesley Currie (Interim) Assistant Archdeacons serving the Archdeaconry of Macclesfield.
This was a beautiful evening, the church doors where open as the evening sun flooded the the church with sunlight and a warn evening breeze. The church was full and all where in good voice for the hymes. There were many clergy attending the service from right across the Chester and Macclesfield diocesan. Simon was welcomed warmly into his new post by Bob Toms the church warden, Vicars from a lot of the local churches and the hope group, the local head teacher from St John The Evangelist Church of England Primary School also welcomed Simon into the parish.
The evening service was followed by a fantastic spread of figure food, magnificent cakes and wine in the parish center. All laid on by Di Waller, Lynne Hibbert, and wine by Keith Littler.
